This Cookie Policy explains how EFEVRE TECH LTD ("we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar device-storage technologies when you access bioskepsis.ai, related subdomains (e.g., app.bioskepsis.ai), and any associated applications (the "Service"). It should be read together with our Privacy Notice.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. We also use functionally equivalent technologies, such as localStorage, sessionStorage, and tag-management pixels, and treat them as cookies for the purposes of this Policy and the ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC.
2. Categories of Cookies We Use

Whether an Analytics or Ad Measurement cookie is set before you have made a choice depends on where you are and which of our sites you are on. This is exactly what the code does:
- On bioskepsis.ai in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland: both categories are denied by default under Google Consent Mode v2, so no Analytics or Ad Measurement cookie is set until you grant consent in the cookie banner. The Google tag itself is still loaded on your first visit and, until you choose, sends Google measurement requests that carry no cookie and no identifier. If you choose "Reject all", the refusal is stored and the tag is not loaded on later visits at all.
- On bioskepsis.ai outside those regions: both categories are granted by default. The Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies are set when the page loads, before you have answered the banner. Refusing in the banner stops them being used and stops them being set again on later visits; a cookie set before your refusal stays on your device until it expires or you delete it in your browser settings (section 4).
- In the app at app.bioskepsis.ai: both categories are off by default wherever you are, and the Google tag is not loaded at all until you grant consent in the cookie panel.
Where your browser sends a recognised opt-out preference signal, including Global Privacy Control (GPC), we treat it as a refusal in every region: the Google tag is not loaded and both categories stay off.
3. Manage Your Preferences
Your choices live in the cookie banner. It appears on your first visit, and you can bring it back at any time from the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of any page. The banner offers "Reject all" and "Accept all", plus a "Manage" view with a switch for each category:
- Essential: always on, required for the Service to work.
- Analytics: Google Analytics 4, site traffic and aggregated usage.
- Ad measurement: Google Ads conversion tracking only, with no ad personalisation.
Saving applies your choice to Google Consent Mode in the same step and stores it on the device you made it on. bioskepsis.ai and the app keep separate records, so make your choice on each, and repeat it on any other device or browser you use. We keep the record for up to 12 months and then ask again. Changing your mind later works the same way: reopen the banner and save a new choice.
We also honour recognised opt-out preference signals. Where your browser sends Global Privacy Control (GPC), analytics and ad-measurement cookies are kept switched off: the banner shows both categories locked off, and you do not need to set anything yourself.
4. Browser-Level Controls
Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in or completing payment. In the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland, and in the app wherever you are, analytics and ad measurement cookies stay denied until you grant consent, so taking no action leaves them off. On bioskepsis.ai outside those regions, taking no action leaves them on: use "Reject all" in the banner to switch them off, and delete any already set through your browser settings.
5. Third-Party Processors That Set Cookies
The following providers may set cookies on your device when you use the Service. Each acts as an independent controller or sub-processor under its own terms:
- Clerk, Inc. (United States): authentication and session management.
- Stripe, Inc. (United States) and Stripe Payments Europe Ltd (Ireland): payments and fraud prevention.
- Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd: Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads conversion measurement, on the regional basis set out in section 2.
6. No Behavioural Advertising or Cross-Site Tracking
We do not sell or share personal information for behavioural advertising. We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not use cookies for cross-site tracking. The only ad-related cookies we use are conversion-measurement cookies set when you arrive at the Service via a paid Google Ads campaign, and only while Ad Measurement is on for you: in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland and in the app that means only after you have granted it, and elsewhere on bioskepsis.ai it means until you refuse it (section 2).
Separately from cookies and advertising, we do license certain data to life-science organisations, as described in §4 of our Privacy Notice. That covers anonymised, aggregated research-trend statistics, and, only where you have opted in, your professional profile. Under US state privacy law those disclosures may count as a "sale" or "share." Your profile is included only where you have opted in, and you can withdraw at any time by emailing us. We honour Global Privacy Control (GPC) for cookies as described in §3. None of this is driven by the cookies described in this Policy.
7. Updates to This Policy
We may amend this Cookie Policy to reflect technical, operational, or legal changes. The "Last Updated" date above will always reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email where appropriate.
